‘When I was looking for hosting, I immediately thought of LJPc’

Amisi runs ICT consultancy company My Tech Partner in Amsterdam. The core focus of the company is complete IT unburdening. Amisi: ‘I often see that entrepreneurs have placed their website with one party, the app with another and the hosting somewhere else again. If something then goes wrong, with a bug or the hosting for example, organisations have to switch around to get everything working again. In effect that means they are running an IT company, while they should actually be focusing on their business. My Tech Partner then takes over the communication between those parties, or brings them all together, so that entrepreneurs have a single point of contact.’

The collaboration with LJPc

‘Before this I placed the hosting of various clients with another, large company. That company got some problems after they were taken over by another party; the support was no longer as good as I was used to, and there were defects with the server. That is why I wanted to switch to a party that could provide good support, also in the evening or at the weekend. In the past I did this myself, but this was no longer workable. That is how I ended up at LJPc for hosting. This started with a few projects, but by now I place almost all projects here.’

Getting to know each other

‘I got to know Lars, the owner of LJPc, when I worked as a freelancer at publisher WPG Uitgevers in Amsterdam. There I was responsible for building the website, and Lars joined later as well. We had a click very quickly, and worked well together. After that job ended I stayed in contact with him. So when I was looking for a new hosting partner, I immediately thought of him. The rest is history,’ says Amisi.

Improvements

‘The thinking along happens better at LJPc compared to our previous hosting partner. There we were treated more like a ticket that has to be handled; you were a number. At LJPc they look at the customer situation, and they think along. Especially that 24/7 support is a big improvement. We can communicate well with each other, and experience good service from LJPc. The servers do what they are supposed to do. We first ran on VPS hosting, but received the advice from LJPc to use a dedicated server, so that is what we have now. So far that is going well! When updates need to be done, Lars picks that up and he takes care not only of the hosting, but also of the programs that run on the hosting. He is a programmer himself, so he can think along well.’

Results

‘The quality of services and products is good, and I am unburdened. It used to cost me more time to keep track of and solve issues, and I could not scale in that area. LJPc unburdens me with 90% of the hosting. I expect to place more projects with LJPc in the future, so I suspect he will only get busier and busier. He is good at consulting, and is also able to program along with projects. Lars is a real jack-of-all-trades, and you can turn to him for many different things.’
